Why Choose a Class C RV?

Why Choose a Class C RV?

If you've been wanting to purchase a motorhome for travel but you're looking for something smaller and easy to drive, Class C RVs are the category of motorhome for you. This category of RVs mid-size, between that of a Class A and a Class B, around 20¿32 feet in length. They are more similar in amenities to Class A RVs: you'll generally find queen- or even king-size beds available in Class C RVs, often in the space above the cab, so you'll still be getting the comfort you want. There is usually an additional bedroom in the back of the motorhome as well.

Class C RVs have a van as a front end, with doors on both sides, making it easier to get into and out of the cab. They're usually gas powered rather than diesel. Some Class C RVs come equipped with slide outs like Class As, so that can provide additional space when you're parked. It's easy to tow an additional vehicle with a Class C RV, so you do have the option of leaving your motorhome at your campsite and venturing off the beaten path, but you still have more choices as to suitable roadways in your Class C than your Class A.

Ultimately, you should choose a Class C RV if you want much of the luxury of a Class A at a lower price point. New Class C RVs typically cost between $48,000 and $90,000. You may expect to get slightly better fuel economy in a Class C than in a Class A, but not by a lot, so don't let that affect your decision too much. If you need space to relax after a day of hiking or other activity, but not a place where you can entertain many visitors, Class C RVs are a perfect fit.
